Megan Hesketh of Westwood, MA Has Died – With profound sadness, the communities of Westwood, South Boston, and beyond mourn the passing of Meghan Ann “Meg” Hesketh, who died peacefully at home on November 9, 2025, at the age of 30. Surrounded by the love and comfort of her devoted parents, Ann Marie (McCarthy) and Dr. Paul J. Hesketh, Meg concluded a brave, three-and-a-half-year battle with breast cancer a fight she faced with unwavering strength, grace, and determination.
Born on July 26, 1995, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Meg grew up in Westwood before building a life she loved in South Boston. She adored spending time with her cherished dogs, Murphy and Rex, especially during long walks on the beaches of South Boston and Chatham places where she found peace, joy, and connection.
Meg was known for her drive, compassion, and exceptional talents. A standout student and athlete at Ursuline Academy in Dedham, she excelled both academically and in sports. She continued her education at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, earning an undergraduate degree in Athletic Training and later a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
As a physical therapist, Meg’s passion for helping others shone brightly. She was deeply committed to her patients, using her expertise and empathy to transform lives and bring healing wherever she worked. Her professional journey married her two great loves sports and service and she touched countless lives through her dedication. Even while undergoing her own cancer treatments, Meg completed the grueling 162-mile Pan-Mass Challenge twice, demonstrating her extraordinary perseverance and spirit.
Her strength inspired family, friends, colleagues, and all who witnessed her journey. Meg leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and love one felt by her family, friends, patients, and the many communities she was a part of. She will be remembered as a woman who lived fully, gave generously, and remained courageous until her final moments. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace, and may those who loved her find comfort in the enduring impact of her life and the memories she leaves behind.
